Print Management & Marketing Print
Outsourced print management for UK organisations
Outsource your print communications to reduce cost, simplify supplier management and give your team more time to focus on strategic priorities.
October 2025: Print Image Network and UK Engage are now trading as PIN Communications
Outsourced print management for UK organisations
PIN manages your print communications from brief to delivery, coordinating the right specialist suppliers, technology and fulfilment services through one accountable partner. Whether you need brochures, direct mail, point-of-sale materials or promotional items, we help you stay on time, on brand and in control of cost.
Why organisations outsource their print communications
We don’t just deliver the product – we expertly manage it for you, through every step in the process. If you are thinking of outsourcing your marketing print, you’ve come to the right place. We are experts in managing our clients’ marketing communication requirements.
Our clients don’t want to manage their own marketing print supply chain. It’s time consuming, costly and diverts attention away from their core business objectives.
PIN gives you one accountable partner backed by a carefully selected network of specialist suppliers and technology platforms. We match each requirement to the right capability, use consolidated buying power to secure competitive value and manage quality, timing and delivery on your behalf.
What print management means at PIN
At PIN, outsourced print communications means managing the complete process on your behalf: project scoping, data, sourcing, production, personalisation, fulfilment, distribution and performance oversight. You gain one accountable partner while PIN coordinates the specialist capabilities needed to deliver each requirement.
We are experts in supply chain management, optimising costs through our consolidated buying power across a handpicked, extensive supplier network. Our processes are streamlined, meaning fewer mistakes and fewer delays. There are no gaps in our capability. We provide a print management service that’s truly end to end, no matter what projects our clients need us to produce.
If you work with PIN, your team stops managing suppliers, chasing print jobs and wondering whether you’re getting value for money, and starts re-focusing on core objectives that moves the organisation forward.

Could outsourcing your print communications improve cost control, resilience and service performance?
Organisations are increasingly turning to specialist providers not only to reduce costs, but also to improve security, gain access to specialist expertise, support digital transformation, improve resilience, and free internal teams to focus on core activities. Print management may be right for your organisation if:
- Internal teams spend significant time managing suppliers, production, stock and logistics. A print management provider acts as a single point of coordination, reducing administration, streamlining supplier management and allowing internal teams to focus on higher-value, business-critical activities.
- There is limited visibility of true print and communications costs. Print expenditure is often fragmented across departments, suppliers and budgets. Outsourcing helps organisations gain greater transparency, control and reporting, enabling more informed procurement decisions and the identification of cost-saving opportunities.
- Security, compliance and business continuity requirements are increasing. As organisations manage larger volumes of sensitive information and support hybrid working environments, maintaining secure, compliant and resilient print processes becomes more challenging. Specialist providers can implement robust controls, audit trails and contingency arrangements to reduce risk and strengthen governance.
- Print volumes fluctuate significantly, making costs difficult to predict and benchmark. Print management specialists leverage the combined purchasing power of multiple clients to secure competitive production and postal rates, while providing the flexibility to scale services up or down in line with changing demand.
- Access to specialist knowledge and market expertise is required. A print management partner provides a single point of accountability while accessing a wider network of approved suppliers, technologies and services. This enables organisations to benefit from industry best practice, innovation and specialist expertise without maintaining these resources in-house.
- Your organisation is pursuing wider digital transformation or operational efficiency programmes. Modern print management extends beyond traditional print procurement, supporting workflow automation, document digitisation, multi-channel communications and process improvement initiatives that help organisations work more efficiently and improve the customer experience.
Organisations are most likely to benefit from outsourced print management when print is important to the business but managing it internally does not provide a strategic advantage. In these circumstances, outsourcing can reduce costs, improve control, minimise risk and free up internal teams to focus on their core objectives.

Print management FAQs
What is print management?
Print management is where you outsource the entire end-to-end marketing communication process to a specialist provider, from data management and production to personalisation, fulfilment and compliance.
What is the difference between print management and marketing print?
Marketing print is a type of print product that is designed, produced and delivered to elevate your brand and drive campaign success. Print management is a fully outsourced service that manages the process of procuring marketing print and marketing communications on your behalf.
What can PIN print?
PIN can source and manage a wide range of print communications, including brochures, catalogues, leaflets, annual reports, stickers, posters, shelf wobblers, FSDUs, window graphics, self-mailers, personalised campaigns, paper wrapping, poly-wrapping, trade-show assets, product-launch materials and branded pop-up spaces.
Do you manage print for public sector organisations?
Yes, we work with many public sector clients and NHS Foundation Trusts. We are trusted by over 60 local authorities to successfully deliver their electoral print and mail requirements.
Can you handle print and digital together?
Yes. Where a campaign requires both print and digital communications, PIN can coordinate the relevant delivery partners and channels as part of one managed programme, giving you clearer oversight and a more consistent customer experience.
What accreditations do you hold?
We are ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accredited, ICO registered, fully GDPR compliant and hold Cyber Essentials Plus Certification.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
There are no minimum order quantities. We manage projects that range from a couple of posters for a shop, to national direct mail campaigns. Our supply chain can manage any sized project.
How quickly can you turn around a print job?
This depends on what’s required and how short the lead-time is. We work with an extensive range of suppliers, so urgent turnaround jobs can be quickly managed. The more complex a project, the more time is required to ensure it’s delivered accurately and to the highest quality.
What do you need from me to provide a quote?
If you know the specification of what’s required, that’s a good start. Otherwise, let us know what you are looking for and we can guide you through the process and develop the project specification on your behalf.

Leadership
Under new leadership. Built on deep foundations.
PIN Communications is led by Managing Director Michelle Ward, who has overseen a transformative period of investment and growth for the business. Under her leadership, the team has invested in new software and technology platforms, expanded its physical capabilities, and relocated to a new headquarters in Stockport – all while maintaining the service standards that earned the business its industry recognition.
The rebrand is the natural culmination of that investment phase. PIN Communications is backed by private equity firm Owner Venture Managers, whose support has enabled the business to build for the future whilst preserving the culture and expertise that clients have relied on for over two decades.
The team celebrated the new chapter at a launch event for staff, customers and suppliers held at The Colony in Wilmslow, Cheshire in autumn 2025 – a moment to acknowledge the journey so far and look ahead to what PIN Communications will become.
